walking together
We accept the very generous invitation of signatories to the Uluru Statement from the Heart to walk together in support of a Voice to Parliament
We believe that amplifying the voices of Traditional Owners in decision-making is critical to achieving a better future. We support the alteration of the constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voice.
We accept this invitation because:
we believe people affected by decisions should be involved in those decisions
we believe embracing diversity of views and opinions gets a better result for a healthy democracy
we believe having a voice is important for healing
we believe the engagement process to get here was robust and inclusive.
This is simple and as a nation
we can do this!
our ongoing commitment
Regardless of the outcome, MosaicLab commits to continue to demonstrate our support - to walk alongside First Peoples, such as:
prioritising projects with self-determination principles
acknowledging and respecting cultural protocols
advocating for amplifying Indigenous voices in all engagement activities
providing pro bono support to First Nations organisations
continue incorporating personal connections into our acknowledgement of country
continued learning and relationship building.
