CASE STUDY: YVW CITIZENS’ JURY
Interviews with and reflections from jurors, project managers, decision makers and facilitators. The Yarra Valley Water Citizens’ Jury deliberated for 40 hours over five days across three, considering complex options and trade-offs, and challenging both their own assumptions and those of Yarra Valley Water.
CASE STUDY: DYING WELL COMMUNITY PANEL
Candid insights into the experience of community panellists who came together as part of a deliberative process to addressed a difficult issue. The panel was invited to help North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN) answer the question ‘what does dying well look like and how can we help people achieve this?’.

Unconscious Biases
The newDemocracy Foundation's (nDF) Research Director, Lyn Carson (with creative input from the Sortition Foundation's Brett Hennig) has developed this exercise on unconscious biases, designed to enhance the analytical capacity of everyday citizens. It can be used as one element of critical thinking exercises. MosaicLab was proud to work with and support nDF in the development of this resource.
