MosaicLab was on board as one of the event sponsors and we value and appreciate any opportunity to connect with local government leaders.

NEW DELIBERATION DICTIONARY SHARES THE A-Z
Keeping up with all the technical language used in the world of ‘deliberative democracy’ can be tough, so we have created a dictionary to define and unpack these terms. We hope that it launches a central reference hub for terminology across the sector, and that this helps bring some clarity to new and old enthusiasts of the field. We plan on building the dictionary with input from you. Download the first edition for free and let us know which words should be added.
HARD CONVERSATIONS AROUND THE WORLD
Deliberative democracy processes like citizens’ assemblies and mini-publics are bringing a welcome dose of thoughtful consideration to some of the world’s most challenging and divisive issues. Go on a trip around the globe with us in this blog post as we highlight some great examples and share some fascinating data from the OECD’s Catching the Deliberative Wave research.
IAP2 CONFERENCE 2022 - WHAT A BLAST!
The MosaicLab team enjoyed three days of stimulating discussion, catching up with old engagement friends and making new ones plus a bit of dancing and spinning the prize wheel at the recent IAP2 Australasia conference in Melbourne. We were humbled to take home two awards and one highly commended mention at this year’s Core Values Awards.
DOES DELIBERATIVE DEMOCRACY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
MosaicLab’s all-time deliberative democracy pre- and post-participant survey results from 2017 to 2022 have been analysed to reveal what impact this work has on people’s knowledge, their involvement in public affairs and their trust in the auspicing organisations who take this plunge. We are excited to share these results with everyone as we continue to learn, adapt and explore what genuine, high-influence engagement can achieve.
