Topic: Taking engagement into the future

Join MosaicLab and Gauge Consulting to learn new skills and connect with engagement professionals around Australia and beyond as we explore our next topic in our ‘engagement in the time of COVID-19’ webinar discussion series:

FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER 2020 12.30PM - 1.30PM AEST

Following every session, participants are sent free content or resources to help them apply the skills discussed in the session and enhance their engagement practice.

Online engagement is here to stay. How do we get the best out of both online and face to face engagement in the future?

It has been three months since our last conversation and in that time, Victoria has gone into a second lock down - meaning online engagement remains crucial across the state. Others across Australia have more freedom, though are wary that what has happened in Victoria could happen to them as well.

Some of you may be starting to hold face to face meetings with physical distancing restrictions in place. As we embrace the new normal, we find ourselves standing with one foot in the face to face space and another in the online world. So, how can we take our learnings from this time to deliver a new world of engagement that offers the best of both worlds?

Join Nicole Hunter of MosaicLab and Scott Newton of Gauge Consulting in conversation with you and other engagement professionals from across Australia (and beyond) to:

  • Gain insights into what we’ve learnt about the benefits of online engagement – what has worked and what do we need to ensure continues in our practice post-pandemic

  • Think about the important features of face to face engagement that we will wish to build back into our practice post-pandemic, or that have been/should be modified as a result of our online experiences

  • Consider how integrated online and face to face activities can deliver quality engagement outcomes in the future

  • Influence where we take the discussion series next, helping us to understand the engagement dilemmas you want us to tackle in future sessions.

Check out some of the wonderful reactions we’ve had to the series to date

There’s never been a more important time for us to come together and support each other in the community engagement space, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the response so far!

The series has been designed to help engagement professionals to navigate and continue to engage in a rapidly changing world.

Much more than your standard ‘webinar’, these interactive, facilitated sessions are a chance to connect with other communications, engagement, planning and project management leaders and professionals. Together, we discuss your most pressing engagement challenges and opportunities, share resources and support you to meaningfully connect with your staff, stakeholders and communities.

Registrations now open for Session #6 - places limited*

WILL VICTORIA'S COMMUNITY CONSULTATION INQUIRY SHIFT REAL PRACTICE?
WILL VICTORIA'S COMMUNITY CONSULTATION INQUIRY SHIFT REAL PRACTICE?

28 recommendations. One message: Engagement practice across the Victorian Government sector isn't consistently good enough. The findings are not suprising - and we think, on balance, they are are fair. A framework already existed - it wasn't applied. So what will make things different this time? We’re exploring what this might mean in reality, what it would take to see a shift, and how the broader landscape across other sectors and states is shifting.

Here we explore why we’ve decided to release the book for free, and share a short video featuring our MosaicLab co-founders and book co-authors Nicole, Keith and Kim.
