meet GUS RICHARDSON

Panel Recruitment Coordinator

"MosaicLab’s dedication to uniting diverse voices and facilitating perspective-giving
to tackle complex and critical challenges is what inspires me."
- Gus Richardson

Gus Richardson manages participant recruitment for MosaicLab’s community engagement projects, focusing on refining recruitment processes and integrating research to enhance best practices.

Gus has a strong foundational knowledge of deliberative democracy. While pursuing his graduate research at the Australian National University, (he holds a Master of Political Science Advanced) his thesis focussed on how deliberative democracy can surmount modern forms of technological control. During this time, Gus was also interning at the newDemocracy Foundation, focussing on an R&D piece exploring the role deliberation can play in the AI-risk and alignment space.

In combination with his keen interest for deliberative democracy, Gus aims to leverage his practical experiences as a Policy Officer for the federal government and as the Chief Youth Rights Campaigner at Oaktree, to bring a pragmatic, agile and collaborative approach to his role.

Outside of work, you’ll find Gus at the Vic Market, watching movies at the Nova Cinema on Lygon Street and playing basketball.

Fun fact! At 14, Gus was ranked in the top 20 in Australia for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
