Katie Fabel

“I’m proud to be working with an ambitious and dynamic team. We roll up our sleeves to get the best outcomes for our clients in order to give a voice to our communities on important decisions.”
- Katie Fabel

Katie is our resident bright spark, helping to ignite continued growth at MosaicLab. She supports the team to find new opportunities to do great work with our client partners and has a particular focus on our MosaicLab Academy training platform.

Katie’s developing our courses to ensure there’s something for everyone who is interested in building their engagement, deliberation and facilitation skills.

“I’d love to see our client partners building their team’s capabilities in best-practice engagement and improve their confidence in their ability to have more of the conversations that matter with their communities,” she said.

Katie has previously studied psychology and worked in business development for a human-centred design agency.

“Both informed my approach to work and problem solving. Both help me to take a holistic view of the variables at play when considering a problem; understanding who is affected, their needs/motivations, working out what we are ultimately trying to solve and how we need to work together to get there successfully.

“I’m fortunate to work closely with creative leaders who are dynamic in their approach so that we can better solve complex problems that our clients are faced with.”

In her downtime, you will find Katie doing something creative or outdoorsy. She is teaching herself to play piano, loves to draw and regularly heads out for hikes and walks with a great audiobook or podcast.

You might not know this about Katie …
She admits to having a "fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants” approach to travel, quite often finding herself in situations which could have ended badly, if not for some good luck and/or the kindness of strangers.

"My favourite memories have been completing two insanely beautiful hikes: the Kalalau trail in Hawaii (top 10 toughest in America) and Theth to Valbona in Albania.”
